Does the idea of a big wedding freak you out, when really all you want to do is marry the one you love? Sounds like you need an elopement celebrant.

But hang on, isn’t an elopement when you run off to Vegas and Elvis does the marrying? Yes and no, It can be…

BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE!

  • Elopements can be anything from your own home round to the kitchen, to hidden destinations in the middle of nowhere.
  • They can be short, no BS ceremonies or longer heartfelt declarations.
  • Aside from two witnesses, there doesn’t have to be lots of guests.
  • Your celebrant can write a personalised ceremony for you, or you can just exchange your vows in your own way and in your own words.

[/lgc_column] You’ve been to so many weddings done exactly the same way it’s hard to plan your own, in a way and style that suits you. How would you even know what you can and can’t do? or what to ask of your celebrant?

The steps for actually getting married are pretty simple and the same for every single civil marriage celebrant in Australia. These are the same steps regardless of whether it is a big, outlandish ceremonies or a small intimate elopement. You have to sign the things, show the things and say the things to get married, the rest is up to you.

Blair is very much the prankster and during their wedding
ceremony asked me to help him give his Mother in Law a shock.

So how do you pick a good elopement celebrant?

You find the one that is right for you, the one who has a vibe, style, price and delivers the marriage ceremony the way you want it done.

As your elopement celebrant I deliver:

  • Ceremonies that can run up to around 20-30 minutes (or as short as sweet as you like)
  • A fun, relatable ceremony all about the two of you.
  • Help writing vows (if you want to say them).
  • Unlimited online and phone communication.
  • Support for your unique ideas and decisions.
  • A professional and enjoyable process.
  • Use of my PA for your ceremony.

And my unique ability on the day to see things that need to be done , and do them. My willingness to make your day all that you want to be, for the small part in it that I play.

A little bit more about me…

I’ve performed over 700 weddings across Australia since I’ve been a celebrant, not one of them was the same. I really love how people come to me with their own ideas about what they want and how the want to celebrate getting married. I’m definitely not judgey. I’m not going to tell you “You can’t do that” unless of course it involves breaking the law in which case I will say “You can’t do that.” Every single wedding is amazing. Being a part of it, mic in hand is still such a thrill 10 years on and counting..

So whether its a full blown big event, a simple wedding, an elopement or a super dooper quickie legal only wedding I would love to be considered and help you have the kind of day you want.

Here’s the 10 steps to eloping:

  1. First things first, you’ll want to know my price and whether or not I’m available for your ceremony. (Which you can do by using the form below)
  2. If I’m available I will send you a quote and more details about how things work. You can either book me straight away or we arrange a facetime/skype/zoom/messenger session to have a chat.
  3. If you’re happy with me, you click accept on the quote, sign my booking contract, and pay the initial booking fee to secure me as your celebrant.
  4. We arrange to complete the notice of intended marriage together, or you complete it remotely and scan it through to me.
  5. Over the days, weeks, months leading up to your wedding I will send you emails asking you questions about your relationship and you wedding day plans, as well as vow hints and all tips I have picked up along the way. This all forms part of the ceremony I will write.
  6. About 2 weeks out from the day I will send you a draft ceremony for you to read and provide feedback.
  7. The week of the wedding we have an online rehearsal and go through the nuts and bolts of the day.
  8. On the day of the wedding, I will meet you both (separately) and sign the final paperwork required as well as run through any last minute issues.
  9. I do the wedding ceremony and you have an amazing day.
  10. After the ceremony I register your marriage and provide the documents to the relevant authority of your state. You are then able to apply for your marriage certificate or I can apply on your behalf (additional fees apply.)
