The Order

Having just done an Expo at City Hall (with Hunter Wedding Grapevine) one of the things that struck me was how each couple prioritise their wedding plans differently.

To some, the photographer is the most important thing. To others, the venue. Some couples don’t even set a date but base their wedding plans on when the people they want are available.

Ultimately it is up to you to decide how to tackle the big day, but if I can be so bold as to offer some wisdom. Whatever order you put them in, however you choose your wedding service providers, the one thing you have to allow yourself is … TIME.

Nowadays photographers, venues and yes even celebrants can book out over a year in advance. If you want to have your dream wedding, small or large, extravagant or simple you need to allow yourselves time to google, meet and book the people who you feel can deliver the service you want.

So, to all my budding brides and grooms to be, it doesn’t have to be a long engagement but if you are going to do things quickly then you may find some of the people you want to book, are already booked out.

Be thorough, be enthusiastic, and if you meet someone you like, and want to be involved in your wedding. Book them… and book them NOW!
