“The feeling of planning a wedding is….I found quite overwhelming and I spent hours wondering where to start. Flowers, cars, location, the dress, bridal party and the list goes on BUT none of this would become a reality without someone to marry us. Hmmm do we get married in a church with a vicar or hang on….how about an outdoor wedding with a Celebrant.
My search began….
I spoke with one potential candidate for the role, at a wedding expo but walked away thinking he was maybe a little too quirky having commented on the number of costumes he had available if having a themed wedding. I knew the kind of person I was looking for…someone approachable, funny, who could put both me and my husband to be at ease, someone who could guide us through this process and be with us on our special day. I was provided the details of Kez so gave her a call and we met up for a coffee and chat.
Instantly we felt excited about the way Kez was suddenly guiding us down this magical path which would result in us becoming ‘Mr and Mrs West’.
After the catch up without a doubt in our minds we knew Kez was the one !! We were so thrilled we instantly booked Kez for our wedding on 04/08/2012.
Kez had really taken the time to work with us to make sure every little detail was perfect, she observed us and how we interacted and I could see how much pleasure she got out of getting information about us both which was part of her speech on the big day.
The cheeky reference to my husband being in the Rural Fire Service and how much i loved that about him and how i was attracted to that he was a fireman was absolutely brilliant. The big day came, Kez approached me and instantly I felt as ease and ready to marry my best friend in front of our family and friends.
Kez may have been our celebrant but we felt she was there more as our friend and mentor and we were honoured to share this day with Kez. We were so happy that we had also booked Kez for our son and daughters naming days the morning after at my husbands family’s vineyard also in the Hunter Valley.
We again got to complete our family with this event this time acknowledging how blessed we are to have such amazing and beautiful children.
I can honestly say it was a privilege to meet Kez and share these special times in our life with her and we look forward to recommending her services to family and friends in the future.”
