Hey June

Thinking about a Winter Wedding? There are some major reasons why you should.

Choice

June and July are off-peak when it comes to Wedding suppliers. They are the less common months for weddings and that means when it comes to securing a celebrant, a photographer, even a reception venue they are more likely to be available and accomodating for your requests.

Price

There’s less competition for these dates, so that can mean more flexibility on the price and service. Vendors are in a booking period during these months. It can also mean a lot more attention on your big day than they could normally offer as you aren’t competing with other couples.

Weather

A little chill in the air [and even rain] can make for a unique day, something that people will remember. Dresses are normally longer, flattering shawls can be worn and also keep your wam, food can be heartier and appetities are normally larger in the winter months meaning more bang for your reception buck.

Cheaper for your guests

Not only could you save some money for yourselves but you could be saving for your guests. The cooler months outside of public and school holidays mean more vancancies at hotels and cheaper airfares. Your guests are probably hanging for a break from work so it also gives the excuse for a mid-year mini break.

Better light

Any photographer would tell you the best wedding photos have a nice natural even cloud cover.. more common in the cooler months. Plus if you do get some wild weather imagine having a photograph of the two of you mid lightning storm – WILD!
