I cannot overemphasise how the extra 20 minutes to travel to Broke can be so worth it thanks to venues like Margan Winery. Just a short drive from the hub of the Hunter Valley and well known for it’s food and wine, Margan has a reputation for amazing and their weddings and functions are no different. In fact some of my favourite wedding moments have happened on the lawn at Margan. What I love most about this venue is that their indoor options for ceremonies are just as flexible, beautiful and desirable as their outdoor locations. Now, be warned most ceremonies at Margan happen in the late afternoon (this is because their restaurant is in demand at lunch) but, that is just another thing to love. No long gaps between ceremony and reception, a team totally focused on your wedding. If you haven’t thought to take a trip to Margan and see what they have to offer, you are missing out.

Margan Winery is found in Broke, just a short drive down Broke Road past some of the most well-know Hunter Valley venues. Local transport companies are very familiar with the location and there are ample accomodation options for your guests nearby.
Outdoor locations for your ceremony including on the step, facing the Broke Mountains or at the opposite end out towards the paddocks. If you need to go indoors both the Barrel Room and Foyer provide a well spaced, beautifully decorated option for your ceremony. Photographers also love that they can capture a million different scenarios all at the one location.

Why choose wed by kez for your BROKE WEDDING?
Although based in Mayfield (Newcastle) Wed By Kez is able to work with couples who live local to Broke and Pokolbin. For couples who want to marry at Margan, but live elsewhere in Australia or Internationally she works remotely (via zoom, phone and email) to get the legal paperwork done and write and prepare the ceremony.
Kez ceremonies are a good, fun 20 minutes worth of talking but it’s best to allow 30 minutes total.
Kez knows and loves a Margan wedding and really enjoys the professionalism of the staff and the beauty of the area.
